More Thoughts For the Day

Just thought I would share some thoughts that were passed on to me. Take one or two of them and apply to your life today. You will be glad you did! Enjoy =)

Life isn't fair, but it's still good.

When in doubt, just take the next small step.

Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.

Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends and parents will. Stay in touch.

Pay off your credit cards every month.

You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.

Cry with someone. It's more healing than crying alone.

It's OK to get angry with God. He can take it.

Save for retirement starting with your first paycheck.

When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.

It's OK to let your children see you cry.

Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.

If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn't be in it.

Everything can change in the blink of an eye. But don't worry; God never blinks.

Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.

Inspirational Reminders

Some of these quotes have been posted on my blog before but I came across this list and felt it was an important to post these. We all need a little daily reminder about these things in life.



No man or woman is worth your tears, and the one who is, won't make you cry. ~ I have learned this very quote is so true! The person who is right for you will not make you cry. Some tears may be shed during hard times, but if someone hurts you to the point of making you cry over reasons beyond your control, that is not the right person for you!



Just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to, doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have. ~ There are all types of love in this world. We all love people differently. There is our family that we love, there are our friends that we love, there are our animals that we love, and there is our significant other that we love. Each person that we love in this world means something different to us. We love our children with all of our hearts, but it's not the same kind of love we have for our best friend. So someone can truly love you with all they have, but it does not necessarily mean they will love you the way you wish you could make them love you. You can never make someone one love you; it has to be completely voluntary to be true love.



A true friend is someone who reaches for your hand and touches your heart. ~ Most of us are fortunate to have one or more true friends that fall into this category. We all need a best friend that we can confide in. We all need at least one friend that knows us better than we know ourselves, and will be there for us no matter what. And if we are fortunate enough to have at least one friend like this, we have been given a huge blessing from the Lord. If we have more than one friend we can confide in and will be there for us no matter what, we have been abundantly blessed and should appreciate and be grateful for those friends in our life.



The worst way to miss someone is to be sitting right beside them knowing you can't have them. ~Have you ever been in this situation? It's not one we want to find ourselves in. Sometimes we don't always feel the same about people who have feelings for us and vice versa. And if the balance of feelings isn't equal between the persons, it usually always eventually leads to hurt or hard feelings towards one another. It is hard to want something or someone so bad and knowing we cannot have it. But as I always say, if something is meant to be, it will always work out in the end.



Never frown, even when you are sad, because you never know who is falling in love with your smile. ~ When we are down, we tend to frown. Though often times when we are down, we learn more about ourselves then when life is happy and rolling along in our favor. Just know that if you are down about something, it will not last forever. There will always be ups and downs in life; otherwise life would be boring! We would not appreciate the good times in life if we weren't given bad times to go along with those. I try to keep a smile no matter what life throws at me. You truly never know who is watching you or your smile so always stay positive and smile no matter what life throws at you!



To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world. ~ We are all only one person in the world. That is all we can ever be, ONE person. You are one person, I am one person; and we must remember, one person can only do so much. And most of us have someone that we mean the world to. My daughters mean the world to me, and I would be lost without them. My kids have also told me I mean the world to them and they would be lost without Mommy. Especially my 4 year old who is permanently attached to my hip! I can barely go to the bathroom without her tagging along, and even then she will stand at the door and beat on the door "Mama! Mama!" as if she is never going to see me again. I feel so loved and needed in this world!



Don't waste your time on someone, who isn't willing to waste their time on you. ~ This statement is so true and just plain common sense if you ask me. If someone isn't willing to put forth the effort and give you some of their precious time, then they aren't worth giving your precious time to. So many relationships these days are not balanced and one person is putting forth all the effort and the other is not. That cannot work if both parties aren't willing to create the needed balance a relationship takes.



Maybe God wants us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one, so that when we finally meet the person, we will know how to be grateful. ~ AMEN! How many times have we met someone or somebody that has come into our life made such a huge impact, and then was gone one day? Most everyone has at least one person in their life that has came and went. We do not always understand why things happen the way they do, but God brings all people into our life for a reason. Again, we may not always know the reason. But sometimes it can be the fact that that person had such an impact on our life, that we changed how were living or our thoughts about a certain situation. And then another person comes along and we can then be grateful for him or her. Life takes enduring pain to get to where we need to be. People enter and exit our lives, but if that person is truly meant to stay in our life, the Lord will show us that in time. I believe this wholeheartedly!



Don't cry because it is over, smile because it happened. ~ Another very true statement! If something comes to an end, it was not meant to be. Take what you learned from whatever it was that ended and apply it to your life. And you should always smile about something that happened because at one time, it was exactly what you wanted. We all have moments we have exactly what we want. And then sometimes those moments fade in time and that thing is gone one day. Be grateful for the memories of the good times, but do not hang on to those. Move forward and do not look back. Leave the past in the past and walk on!



There's always going to be people that hurt you so what you have to do is keep on trusting and just be more careful about who you trust next time around... ~ I don't think I've heard this quote before but again, how very true it is. It seems like when we get hurt or burned by someone, we lose trust in everyone. We must remember this - what one person did to us does not mean that another will do the same. Do not carry the burden of past mistakes or judgements to the future. Let those go along with the person if that person is no longer in your life. You cannot move on in the future if you hold onto grudges by others who have wronged you. So keep your head up, give the next person a fair chance, but do be careful in putting too much trust in someone until you really know them. Remember it only takes a moment to destroy trust, and sometimes it takes a lifetime to build up trust.



Make yourself a better person and know who you are before you try and know someone else and expect them to know you. ~ If you are not happy and content with yourself, you cannot live life to its fullest potential. A friend recently told me she was finally at peace with herself for the first time in a long time. I realized that I want that in my life and at times I have been there, but I need to get back there. We all want peace and harmony in our life, but we must be at peace with our self before that can happen. And it's not fair to try and get to know someone else if we don't even know who we are as a person. Because until we are happy and content with ourselves, we cannot truly be the person we should for another person to see. So if you are lost and wondering in this world, my advice is to pray for guidance and for God to show you direction. And then listen to what He says, and apply it to your life!



Don't try so hard, the best things come when you least expect them to. ~ Good things come to those who wait. I am a firm believer in that! If you try to rush something, or make something happen in its own time, it won't work out in the long run. You must trust in the Lord and He will show you when things are supposed to happen and the way they are supposed to happen. As hard as it is, we must place our trust in Him and be patient.



REMEMBER: WHATEVER HAPPENS, HAPPENS FOR A REASON. ~ If you have ever read my blog, this is practically in every post! Everything happens for a reason and there is a reason that everything happens. If we believe this statement, we will be more happy and at peace with life. We do not always understand why things happen, but God knows what He is doing. Sometimes it takes something or someone to show us things about life. God sends messages through our family, friends, strangers, songs, etc. all the time! We just have to be open minded and LISTEN and then we will receive the message from above. We all have situations that we question in life, but if we dwell on those questions all the time, we are losing precious time by worrying. We all worry about things, but if we just trust in Him, there would be no worries. I am sure we all have a list of questions we could ask God if we had the opportunity. I know I do! But I can't stay stuck on those what-ifs of life. I have to move forward and do what I think the Good Lord wants me to do. And even then, sometimes I do not know what He wants me to do. So sit back, be patient, and when the time is right you WILL know what direction to go in this life on earth!

Some Thoughts for the Day

Just thought I would share some more inspirational thoughts for the day. Enjoy!


I've learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow only if you want it to be.

I've learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the way he/she handles these three things: weather, respect and lost luggage.

I've learned that regardless of your relationship with your parents, you'll miss them when they're gone from your life.

I've learned that making a "living" is not the same thing as making a life.

I've learned that life sometimes gives you a second chance. So don't make the same mistakes again, and don't tell everyone about them!

I've learned that you shouldn't go through life with a catcher's mitt on both hands; you need to be able to throw some things back.

I've learned that whenever I decide something with an open heart, I usually make the right decision.

I've learned that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one.

I've learned that every day you should reach out and touch someone. People love a warm hug, or just a friendly pat on the back.

I've learned that I still have a lot to learn.

I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel, especially your loved ones.

I Believe...

I BELIEVE

I believe... That just because two people argue, it doesn't mean they don't love each other. And just because they don't argue, it doesn't mean they do.

I believe... That we don't have to change friends if we understand that friends change.

I believe... That no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.

I believe... That just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to, doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.

I believe... That true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance. Same goes for true love.

I believe... That you can do something in an instant that will give you heartache for life.

I believe... That it's taking me a long time to become the person I want to be.

I believe... That you should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time you see them.

I believe... That you can keep going long after you think you can't.

I believe... That we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.

I believe... That either you control your attitude or it controls you.

I believe... That heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.

I believe... That money is a LOUSY way of keeping score.

I believe... That sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you're down will be the ones to help you get back up.

I believe... That sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.

I believe... That maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had and what you've learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated.

I believe... That it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others. Sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself.

I believe... That no matter how bad your heart is broken, the world doesn't stop for your grief.

I believe... That the people you care about most in life are taken from you much too soon.

I believe... That life is more precious than money will ever be able to be.

I believe... That our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.

I believe... That regardless of how hot and steamy a relationship is at first, the passion fades and there had better be something else to take its place.
